Freedom HaiKu: Life with No Limitations but my own.

Reblogging my own for the coming week. Enjoy. Feedback appreciated.

I’m a man set free

live or die, by my own hand.

Fear or Hope, My Choice

Can you identify with this? or am I just blowing smoke in the wind?

  1. Just reading the morning buzz quote for 2/13: “Make the most of your regrets; never smother your sorrow, but tend and cherish it till it comes to have a separate and integral interest. To regret deeply is to live afresh.” -Henry David Thoreau

Somehow I feel this quite woven into what you express in your haiku.

    • “He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind:” i’ve done my share of troubling my own family by my Faith. this regret is something i will live with for the rest of my life. it may subside someday, but right now it permeates every fiber of my being. it’s like i don’t even know who i am anymore. thx for appreciating my words.

      • i would say it is the wise soul who struggles to embrace the doubt, who struggles to find the courage to be in the liminal space between who he or she was and who he or she will become. The loss of sense of identity can be a traumatic

Rollo May wrote in” The Courage to Create”: The relationship between commitment and doubt is by no means an antagonistic one. Commitment is healthiest when it is not without doubt, but in spite of doubt.

Doubt is one the experiences people try to avoid like the plague for it leads to what you are experiencing right now. But this the only path to growth.
