Tuesday Humour: Poor Birdie

Once upon a time a small bird swooped in to scavenge a stray hot dog from an unsuspecting group enjoying a nice afternoon BBQ picnic.

Later that evening, he fell strangely ill from what he supposed to be food poisoning from the aforementioned Furter-feast.

It seems that the Weiner was expired and then so was he. You could say…

The birdie took a Tern for the Wurst.

Xtian Praise: Dog is Love (or Evol?)

Sing along… you know the song.

(by the way… not our dogs in the picture)

Our Dogs are Some Awesome Dogs

(chorus)

Our dogs are some awesome dogs

they reign over all the home

with growling, barks and love

our dogs are some awesome dogs

(Verse One)

Sonny isn’t jok’in when he’s jumpin’ for some treats

(our dogs are some awesome dogs)

he’s a jumpin’ on the couch and likin’ on his lips

(our dogs are some awesome dogs)

even though he just went out and came back in the doggie door

is wasn’t for no reason that he did his thing

he’s hopin’ we have not too quickly forgotten…

that our Dogs are some Awesome Dogs…

(chorus)

Our dogs are some awesome dogs

they reign over all the home

with growling, barks and love

our dogs are some awesome dogs

 (Verse Two)

Six pounds of white hair and thinks she’s 98.

(our dogs are some awesome dogs)

she’s waiting for her kibble, you better not be late

(our dogs are some awesome dogs)

the Judgement of a Maltese girl, really not like Sodom

you’ll be wishin’ for the Fire when you meet her gaze.

Just a  second more and Daisey ‘knows’ she’s been forgotten

Cuz Our Dogs are some Awesome Dogs

(chorus)

Our dogs are some awesome dogs

they reign over all the home

with growling, barks and love

our dogs are some awesome dogs

(Verse Three)

They love their little home, we love our little kids

(our dogs are some awesome dogs)

The joy they bring our life, we really can’t resist

(our dogs are some awesome dogs)

Sonny-Boy and Daisey-Mae fill our home with laughter

they run and jump around, we love to watch them play

you better be believin’, that it’s Happy ever after

Cuz Our Dogs are some Awesome Dogs

(chorus)

Our dogs are some awesome dogs

they reign over all the home

with growling, barks and love

our dogs are some awesome dogs

(chorus)

Our dogs are some awesome dogs

they reign over all the home

with growling, barks and love

our dogs are some awesome dogs

This is my entry for TJ’s Household HaiKu Challenge this weekend. I had a Car Wash in mind until it started to… well, you know. Why don’t you give it a go and pop over there to see what he’s up to. You’ll be glad you did. He’s decided to switch it up a bit. I’ll let him explain…

Hi all. I am shaking things up a little in TJ’s household haiku. From now on I will be expanding the prompt with two options (you only need to select one of the options)…

  1. A photo prompt without explanation – use anything in the shot as an inspiration and surprise us!
  2. A word prompt – use it somehow in your haiku.

You don’t have to include the word if you want to just use the picture as an inspiration or you don’t have to reference the picture if you use the word. Or you can use both.” -TJ

Smart Phone, Dumb People

Once again, I’m a few days late in finishing my latest entry to TJ’s Latest Challenge. Oh well…. sue me. I love the challenges he gives and just about every post he puts up on his wonderful Blog, including THIS celebration of his 500th Post. Yay, TJ!!!

As for this last Friday’s Challenge, the word was ‘Phone’. I’ll let TJ clue you in on what’s expected.

“Perhaps you have fonder attachments to this wonder of modern communication. Do not be put off by my fear of the object. I would love to know your own “connection” with the telephone in your life.” -TJ

So, without further Ado… my entries for the week. Enjoy.
